DAHAM PAHANA had very humble beginnings, starting in the open, about fifteen years ago, with merely a group of ten , and then graduating to a mud hut to accommodate the congregation , and to the present almost self sufficient to house over 600 people , built by faith and dedication of a set of people of God’s Love. A place situated bordering Kelani river, with beautiful nature environment , day by day exposing to the society as a centre to relieve and inspire of relaxation , experiencing the Love of God . The aim of Daham Pahana is to create a world governed by spiritual values. That is to say, to empower Nations with Dhamma. Unites people into one movement dedicated to maithri , love and peace without regard to differences in their race, religion, skin colour, class or caste. Daham Pahana includes people of all religions and even humanists who believe in spiritual values. It includes people of different political beliefs. They are all united by a belief in core religious values. They wish to see tomorrow’s world a better place for everybody than it is today. Daham Pahana has succeeded in utilizing artistes belonging to different religions to spread the message of spiritual values through MUSIC in churches, temples, kovils. Daham Pahana believes that even as the great religious teachers taught, love and mathri can overcome all conflicts and obstacles in the world.
